Driver Killed after being Ejected in Single Vehicle Rollover Crash

On Thursday, February 13, 2025 at approximately 3:35PM, a single vehicle traffic collision was reported on Highway 18 South just South of Locust Road near Lucerne Valley. CHP Logs indicate that the occupant of the vehicle was ejected during the rollover and was laying in the roadway not moving.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol along with rescue personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene and located one individual laying in the roadway, not conscious and not breathing. CHP officers began CPR on the individual and requested an Air-Ambulance, which was declined due to weather. CHP officers continued CPR until county fire personnel arrived and pronounced the individual deceased.

Both directions of travel were shut down pending the investigation by the California Highway Patrol. No further information regarding this incident is available at this time.
